The flooding problem . . .

The flooding problem . . .

. . .solved! My 100' clay/grass driveway became a slick muck impossible for any vehicle to ascend its 20 degree incline. If a concrete ($5.5K) or an asphalt ($3.6K) driveway had been used on that incline, a tremendous flooding problem would have been created down the 1000 sq ft solid hard surface and against my house at the bottom. Enter the EP, or Easy Pave ($2.4K) solution. There is certainly none greater and there is actually less of any water problem because the myriad cup "fins" slow any flow and actually facilitate absorption downward and evaporation upward. If you've any incline remotely like mine, this is such a totally superior solution to anything else, that I don't know why Standardartpark isn't shouting it from the rooftops.

Additionally, as my old clay/grass driveway "heals" under the EP (as there is no longer any direct driving on the former), grass is already starting to grow between the EP "lily pads". So eventually, unlike concrete or asphalt, I will have a "hidden" driveway that looks very nearly like the rest of the yard (and the EP is fully mowable)! And the fantastic people at Standartpark just went to extraordinary measures to deliver--for free!--my 1,600 lbs of EP because remember . . . I had nothing but a slip & slide driveway for them to work with. As far as I can see, this is the beginning of the end for concrete and asphalt driveways.
