I popped in last minute simply to change the color...

I popped in last minute simply to change the color of my gel nail polish. I already had them (so I would have to soak) and I had ONE acrylic nail. They cringe when there is the smallest "complication" lol. Due to me arriving about 15 minutes late, Emily (nail tech) had told me that there was nothing she could do about the acrylic nail, but I had asked her to simply file it down so it was even with the rest. Simple right? Very mono tone, forcefully asked me random questions, but if you're going to sound like I am the last person you want to speak to, I would rather you not speak to me at all. She even asked the same question twice. After almost finishing up, seemed like she had something else to do or maybe an appointment, but the other girl just sat down and Emily walked away. No introduction, nothing. Luckily, the girl finishing my nails was a doll. I wasn't able to catch her name but she actually worked in the salon downstairs and did nails occasionally (unfortunately because I'd come back and book with her).

I went downstairs to pay where I was charged $50. Now, it's my fault for not double checking the price prior to booking the appointment because I was charged $15 last time to simply change my gel color. The service I was charged for was a gel MANICURE when I only had a polish change. Then they charged my an extra $5 for the acrylic nail that she filed down (unevenly by the way). The receptionist (Adam) told me that regardless it would cost the $50. I'm not one to make a scene, especially when the money wasn't an issue, it just didn't make sense in pricing and I had a previous appointment with the same service for $45 less.

Point is, SpaNijoli has always prided themselves in customer service but I didn't have a great experience this time at all and I unfortunately had the same experience with the same nail tech when I went in May. I go in all the time for massages and its great, but there's a reason I've gone in twice for my nails. Emergency only.
