1 star - second time staying here, it will be my last. Let s see where to begin. I ve had friendlier guest experience at a Holiday Inn, seriously.

Customer greeting experience doesn t exist, I stayed three nights (6/29/2018-7/2/2018) and was never greeted as I came inside through the front doors! My room was on the 4th floor across the hall from the house keeping closet. Every morning at about 4 something AM, I would hear doors slamming and loud chatter. It s bizar that there s signs telling customers to keep quite during night hours, but GPI staff can be as loud as they want at any time of day or night.

Lastly, upon departure morning, I was awaken multiple times before my 5:30 AM alarm went off, due to house keeping. Then I tried to turn on the lights to get up and there was no power. The entire hotel lost power that night. I packed up in the dark and made it to the front desk, where upone check out I was never apologized to for the situation at hand. Also, was still charged for a hotel night with no power! No breakfast, no coffee, no shower..... I get it, the power wasn t their fault, but at least be nice and try to make it up!

The amazing location, historic, and beautiful hotel still can t out weigh the completely awful customer service experience, oh and greedy mangers charging customers to stay with no electricity. I would recommend trying any other hotel in Asheville.
