This was the chosen resort for our originally intended honeymoon destination and expectations were high.

I booked with Pacific for Less and they took good care of me, made great suggestions, made the process stress free and made the trip seamless. And by seamless, I mean transfers between locations are set up with reputable companies/vendors, that are safe, friendly and punctual. When I plan something out of the country, that is a benefit most definitely worth having.

Most of the trip was voucherless too, so a lot of the time they just verify who you are when you show up at rendezvous points and you're able to spend more time enjoying your vacation.

Now...onto the hotel stay..

From the St. Regis reception at the Bora Bora airport to departing, we felt special. Service began as we entered the Bora Bora baggage area. Great staff on site. We were greeted with refreshment and all we had to do was ID our luggage and they tagged and loaded it on our shuttle.

Check in was a breeze. Clement checked us in and was a friendly helping hand throughout our stay. That's way more than any other front desk person has done for us at other resorts. The rest of the front desk team was very friendly and took care of business for us painlessly.

Once checked in we met the GM and were introduced to Ritchie, one of the butlers onsite. Ritchie took us on like his own VIPs and catered and ensured that anything we could think of was taken care of. Unpacking and packing and moving our luggage, airing up the floats we brought, giving us a ride to dinner when we were running late, setting up reservations for us, excursion time reminders, making fresh morning tea/coffee and on and on.

Other butlers offered assistance but Ritchie was seemingly always there when we needed him. He was familiar with our schedule and checked on us to make sure that everything was how we wanted. He is the consummate professional and had I a business need for someone like him, I would aggressively pursue his services.

We were there for over a week and we tried all the restaurants and many different meals and we found everything to be delicious. It was expensive as hell though. Mixed drinks > $20 and burgers and basic dishes > $30. The sushi combo at Sushi Take is $130. We prepared for this but it is still expensive.

The wait staff was so great. From their friendly smiles and consistent greetings, so many remembered our names and room numbers within a night's stay. We will remember our friends that took such good personal care of us. We felt like family. To Rai, Margault, Anne-lise, Martima, Karen (sorry if i messed up any of your names) and so many others, thank you for your efforts in making our retreat an amazing one. We will miss you!

The resort itself is built seamlessly right into a pocket of nature's perfection of beauty. The various shades of turquoise and blues go on endlessly in the lagoon and on the arrival approach to the dock. We stayed in an overwater bungalow and in a beach villa with pool and the rooms were spacious and accomodating for relaxation.

If you need to conserve space, I wish I knew I did not nees to bring some of the stuff I did. As an FYI, for you wouldbe travelers: you're given 2 bottled waters each evening, the pool area has various sunscreens and aloe for your needs, mouthwash, hair dryers, hair straighteners (with refundable deposit), very large bath towels, q tips, bar soap, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner.

The lagoonarium is a wonder of nature. We snorkeled in calm and clear waters full of fish and reef. It was quite the spectacle. We swam with a giant moray eel too! The spa is connected to part of the lagoonarium. We had a couple of massages there and we really thought the balinese massages with Lucy and Camille were outstanding.
