I have never been so disappointed. I have been visiting Russells for years and prior to that visited Salvatores for their overnight stays and packages. We decided to go over for our anniversary and the experience was nothing but horrible. We arrived and went to dinner. The staff in the restaurant were amazing as usual and then our dinner arrived. My husband and I both order our steak medium well. His steak arrived and was slightly over medium well but still edible. Mine arrived and was cooked rare. I asked the waiter to return my steak which he obliged to do. He took my steak as well as my sides. When my steak returned the waiter asked me to cut into the steak, which I did, and it was still rare. He once again returned my steak to the kitchen and this time when it came back (THE SAME STEAK NOW COOKED 3 TIMES) was charred, burnt and tough as leather. My sides were dark on top as well since they too sat under the heating lamps 3 times. For a restaurant that prides itself on steak you would think the chef knows what medium well looks and appears like. The waiter apologized and said he would send Mark the general manager over but he came into the room we were sitting in and went to another table to ask about their meal. Not once did he come to our table so we left AND I HAD NO MEAL TO SHOW FOR MY ANNIVERSARY DINNER. We sought Mark out after the fact and all he could say to us was "I'm sorry that you feel that way," when we expressed our disappointment in our whole dining experience. Although my husband ate alone while he watched my meal being returned to the kitchen several times Mark explained 'THAT EVENTHOUGH MY HUSBAND HAD TO EAT ALONE HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR THE FOOD THAT HE CONSUMED". As loyal customers and people who buy packages for others constantly, I can not express the disappointment we feel for an anniversary ruined and the horrible way in which Mark handled the situation. I feel if Russell himself had been present, the situation would have been handled in a much different and better manner.
