What a treat! Seeing the guitar Jimi Hendrix used at Woodstock as well as the stationery from the Beverly Hills Hilton that he used to write "The Wind Cries Mary" was unbelievable. I didn't know that he was born in Seattle which was another surprise. This was just one of the great exhibitions that was on site at MOPC.

Pop star Prince also had his own room full of interesting artifacts as did Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. There's a 50 ft. tree made out of guitars as well as a guitar gallery, sound labs where you can play guitar, drums, keyboard or sing your heart out in the soundproof room.

We really enjoyed seeing costumes on display from the Wizard of Oz and got to see the dress Judy Garland wore as Dorothy, the hat the Wicked Witch wore, weaponry from The Lord of the Rings and more.

Absolutely loved visiting this museum and would definitely go back again when I return to Seattle.
