Afternoon tea at The Balmoral is a unique experience. Lovely hotel with a well appointed tea room. Upon entering, I was instantly put at ease by the soft harp music and pleasingly aesthetic appeal of the room, and suddenly felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of the Edinburgh streets. Once seated, I realized there was a harpist playing in the balcony -I had assumed I was listen to piped in music. Tea service was a delight and included some lovely take aways. Definitely the priciest afternoon tea I experienced while in Edinburgh, but well worth it.
