4.5 Stars. I just came back from my stay today and I felt the need to write my review as soon as possible. Let me start by saying that this hotel was phenomenal, but more than anything, the employees were what made the stay exceptional! Their dedication to service and standards blew my mind. Upon certain complications, the employees were never rude and handled the situations calmly and respectfully. They listened to our complaints and fixed them (Ill get to this later or you can skip to [NOT SO GOOD] part of the review).

Let me talk about the good things then I will address the reason I didn't give it the last .5 star.

[FOOD] The food was delicious, I tried their Avocado Toast (tastes amazing when you add the smoked salmon), the Ritz-Carlton Burger, the Truffle and Parmesan fries and 12 oz Streak, those were all delicious. The two things that I tried that I didn't like were the Grilled Cheese (the amount of mayo or aioli or whatever it was inside was so disgusting that I took one bite and I spat it out, I had to call to change it to the burger). The other dish I didn't like was the Beef Bolognese, it was just tasteless. Also I should mention that my mom and sister had ordered the burger before me and it also had too much sauce on it, making the bun soggy, when I got mine I made sure to clarify that I wanted light sauce. It tasted better then but I really think they should work on balancing the amount of sauce put on the food.

[POOL] The pool was nice, I wish the hot tub was opened but that's not the hotel's fault. The pool was clean, and because the hotel was at low occupancy, there weren't much people there and everyone respectfully kept their distances. Fresh towels and water were always on hand. There was a really kind employee who worked by the pool, she always checked on my family and I, asking if we were alright. I don't remember her name but she had orange hair. I was surprised that there was only one shower in the change room but thats not a big deal.

[ROOM] Our room was AMAZING!!! We had a beautiful view of the CN Tower and the lake. In the night, nothing beats this view. Lying awake with a good movie on and the glowing CN Tower right (and I mean literally right there) outside the window. The bed was so soft, the pillows a little uncomfortable but I think that was just me. There is everything you need in the room in case of forgetfulness or just basic need (sewing kit, dental kit, cotton swabs, etc). The room was really clean and was always cleaned really well (Twice a day). The TV had some trouble with the Google Chrome cast, we couldn't get it to work our entire stay but the hotel was nice enough to send a technician who explained that the chrome cast was having problems and provided an HDMI cord that I could use with my laptop.

[EMPLOYEES] I cannot stress this enough, the employees are truely what make this hotel shine. Their dedication to their jobs amazes me. They are all so kind and substantial in their own ways. The cleaning ladies went above and beyond, everytime we left and came back to the room, I couldn't believe it was the same room. Since it's mid-semester I had all my school books and supplies scattered and she organized them and put them together. She placed our scattered shoes together and it's these little things that made it hard not to tip them!

Special thanks to Stephanie (The Manager) who went out of her way to deliver our wine and welcome us and Maksudar (In-Room Dining) for performing each request with the utmost optimism and enthusiasm and tending to all our dining needs, down to the smallest request and for just being a friendly face!

[THE NOT SO GOOD] This was the only major problem we had with the hotel, we had a ~$100 credit for dinner. Everytime we ordered, we had to clarify and remind them that the credit needed to be subtracted from the total bill. I would assume that something like that'd be noted down so the fact that we had a problem everytime we order dinner was a little annoying. However, whichever employees was dealing with it each night sorted it out each time.
