Call repeatedly for "collection" of debt for person with similar name with residence on another coast. No amount of explanation satisfies all but one caller. Person being called has had a stroke and requests collection notification to be sent in writing. One caller just hung up when she she was informed she had an person at an incorrect address. One caller was very polite and did say he would make a wrong number notation; received a call from another person within two days. Other callers have threatened to report fraudulence when I request to assist. These callers are under pressure to collect debt but are not taught to cross reference addresses. How many ill people just pay up? Does it get that far? Distressing to vulnerable people who cannot understand why they have uncollected debt for money they have not spent, especially those who have spent a lifetime of frugality learned during the Great Depression. Madding to their caregivers and family. I do not believe we need to send a copy of POA - especially during pandemic. --- Called CMS and was told security was answering the phone - callers worked from home - no person there with name of last caller - I could not speak to a manager or supervisor because there were none there - would not take a "message".
