We recently took our i3 in for servicing. The technician that worked on the vehicle damaged the car. Unbeknownst to us at the time. The vehicle then stranded my husband on the way home from working a 24hr shift.
At first BMW did a great job with customer service. Once we began working with Schomp BMW directly that all changed. We called repeatedly to check on the status of the car, they would state we d get a call back that day. We did not receive a call, that happened at least half a dozen times. They continued to claim they d have the car fixed and back to us by the end of the week. Again no car no call when the end of the week came. Most recently they ve told us the car needs a new engine which has to be shipped from Germany. Another month delay. In one week they will have had the vehicle for two months. It is a lease, they have been continuing to collect our payment monthly. Each time we call no one seems to know who we are or what is going on with the car. Finally we ve sadly had to call for legal assistance. Once this is settled, neither one of us will own a BMW, deal with Schomp BMW or refer them to any of our friends or family members in the future. I d call this abhorrent customer service and that is being nice.
