It's with a heavy heart that I have to give such a poor review to a pub I have loved for so long but needs must on this occasion. We held my sisters 50th in the Ealing Park Tavern on Saturday 21st it had been planned for a long time and we had approximately 50-60 guests so a lot of money was being spent overs the counter. When we arrived at 6.30 to set up not one member of staff offered any help or even so much as a hello so we got on with it ourselves. My husband was told we could not use the bar area to get served we had to go around to the main bar area which was a bit inconvenient but we didn't want to cause a fuss just before guests were about to arrive. We also had a lot of customers accessing the garden through the party area as no signage had to put up to say private party was taking place and at one stage the manager looked over as a bunch of Brentford supporters came singing right the way through the middle of the party guests and the manager chose to ignore it and did absolutely nothing about it.

The manager managed to not crack a smile for the entire evening, this in turn seemed to be contagious with all the other staff members. The average wait to be served was 20 minutes with not so much as an apology, in fact it seemed to me that we were an inconvenience to the manager and staff.

We are very fortunate to have so many welcoming pubs in the area however I feel we made a very poor choice when choosing The Ealing Tavern for this celebration. I feel very embrassed as so many of our guests shared their negative experiences of the evening with me e.g. One said "the staff asked if she was with the party before being charged for her drink more then once". The price of her two drinks seem to change whenever she went up. My sister told me she felt like she'd done something wrong as they were being kicked out at the end of the evening.

I feel very sad and do not want others to go through what we went through. Manager and staff need hospitality training, a smile costs nothing !!!!
