The only negative aspect was the number of financial searches conducted, recorded of course by the credit agencies. More credit searches means your credit score drops which could increase the amount of interest you pay. Ideally the interest rate should be agreed before entering into any hire purchase deal and before any searches are carried out - benefitting the customer.
