We had ADT install a flood detector in our home and a recent rain storm revealed just how incompetent this company is. The flood detector failed resulting in a flood in our basement. We spent many hours cleaning up the mess and, thinking they would accept responsibility, we submitted a request to ADT for compensation. They didn t even respond. It was their incompetence that caused the flood and they should accept responsibility for the damages.

After five emails and a number of voicemails we found out that their standard practice for damage caused by them was to have the effected people claim on their insurance and ADT would pay the deductible. Your home insurance is likely to increase but ADT pays the deductible.

Needless to say this is not what we expected from a security system. DO NOT USE ADT, THEY DON T CARE.
