Preet Amin Review of Hamilton Racing
As a recent guest at this accommodation, I really ...
As a recent guest at this accommodation, I really don't know where to begin with in terms of satisfaction. I had stayed at this place for nearly a week and a half as I was working at the Commonwealth Games 2014, and I had long hours to work every single day. This meant I would expect myself to come back to my "hostel" with the intention of resting.
However, facilities that were provided was absolutely atrocious, they had a commercial canteen though the manager didn't even have the courtesy to open until the very last day of my stay and that too because apparently they had an event due to take place the next morning.
There were approximately 70 people living there in small cubicles where they didn't even have locks from outside so that guests like myself can secure out valuable items. This was just one of the common issues, the main problem was Infact they didn't actually provide any water facility for guests like myself and others to use which I believe is a common need for any human being.
Another Heath and Safety problem was the fact that there was a bee nest just above the front entrance door, though luckily my room was deep inside which means it wasn't a concern for my but I really do feel sorry for the guests who had to sleep at the front end of the property as they would fear just to even open their windows so that there is a little ventilation.
But the main issue that I thought was the fact that the manager would show this rude attitude towards us when few of us including myself complained and she would speak to us like we were the enemies.
More worryingly, there was this particular incident when one of my colleague who was from Liverpool complained to the cleaner about the lack of water supply, as a response the cleaner actually replied back saying "why don't you go back to Liverpool, if you think this place is bad". There were several other issues that nobody took consideration of however, these were the serious ones!
