Stayed at the inn for 2 nights while on a trip to Vermont a few weeks ago.

Dan and Tom were extremely accommodating and friendly, and were knowledgeable about local attractions (and where to ski for a fraction of the price Stowe charges). I liked the pastries left out in the kitchen (Dan bakes desserts), which guests could take any time they felt like. There was a kitchen right next to our room, so we could wander in and take whatever refreshments they wanted from the fridge or make coffee/tea/hot cocoa with their Keurig. I liked the mints they left on the beds, which are from a local chocolate store (Snowflake Chocolates in Jericho, VT).

Rooms were cozy and the entire building felt like home. The atmosphere seems laid back and relaxing. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, and I liked the reading room they had - rocking chairs included. Breakfast was always a work of art and is cooked fresh. Tom and Dan literally serve breakfast to you, unlike other places that have you get up and serve yourself. Tom is a wonderful conversationalist (and story-teller), and Dan a fantastic chef. The first day was sausages and bacon, with a lovely bowl of cheese. tomatoes, and eggs. The second day was an medley appetizer of citrus fruits and rhubarb (with herbs freshly picked from their garden), and a beautiful-looking stack of blueberries pancakes topped with strawberries.

I felt disappointed when I had to go back to chain hotels again the following nights.

Hey, Dan and Tom! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
