I do not understand people who think that insurance is used to pay the costs of vaccination or foreseeable costs because when you welcome an animal, you have to make sure that you can meet its needs such as vaccines, dewormer, antiparasitic , nutrition ..... Like all insurance, it intervenes in the event of unforeseen events. Your home insurance does not intervene for the maintenance of your house but for water damage, fire, theft ...... the excess is also part of the contract and you know it when you take out the contract. It's up to you to accept or refuse.
I had a dog with degenerative heart disease for several years and thanks to santevet it helped me pay for his medications, regular visits to the vet, exams and hospitalizations .... the costs were very expensive and I was able to help him to do as well as possible until the end of his life.
