My scheduled wrist surgery was 3/11/19, 1:00pm. I was told to check in Sugicare at 12:00pm which i did promptly. About 10 to 15 min of paper work. Clerk told me to wait in the waiting room for nurse to call me for surgery prep at 1'00. I have no food or water since the night before 7pm. While i waited patiently suffering from hunger and thurst i went to the desk 10 min after my supposed surgery time. She called the nurses station, 2 min later, nurse Brooke i think came out to get me to prep. In there, i waited about 1 hr before wheeled into OR. Before that, i asked Brooke to call my pickup ride to let her know my delayed surgery to avoid longer waiting for me.
Summery:
1. While waiting for surgery prep, no one informed me of any delays or no excuses why im waiting. Had i not approached the desk, who knew how much longer i would have waited.
2. No explanation given for my wait.
3. Brooke or no one called my pickup ride about the delay. She waited 3 hours for me.
4. My estimate discharge was 3:30pm but i left after 6pm in great pain.

This facility is beyond disorganized! The patiend is in pain and looking for comfort and get the surgery over with after starving over a long period of time. Instead i was ignored in the waiting room and, irritated and angry! Yes the patient shouldnt be angry for surgery.
I will certainly tell my friends about my dreadful experience under sugucare hawaii and hope they wont make the same mistake. You can bet on it you will never see me there in the future!
