The only reason I've awarded Rhodes a "one-star" is there is no category for "zero stars". What an experience. We have a group of guys that have Tuesday morning breakfast at different restaurants around Bellingham. Today was Rhodes' turn and, while unremarkable food, it was generally good and the atmosphere conducive to conversation. Three of us came in at opening, 7:00 am. and headed for the large group table. The owner (I'm only assuming he was the owner because an employee would never act like this.), came out of the kitchen and asked what we wanted. I said there was a group of from 6 to 8 that would be coming for breakfast. He said the table was reserved for another group. I asked if we could move some other tables together to accomodate us and he said he had another group coming too and we couldn't sit there. By the way, we were the only people in the place. We asked if other tables could be moved together and he responded "Why don't you go somewhere else!" The three of us looked at each other and I asked politely, "What?" He responded "I said go somewhere else!" We left and went somewhere else, vowing to never return and spread the word about what a jerk he was. If I were the employees there I would look for a change of location for work as I doubt this cretin will be in business long. The guy was rude and doesn't deserve to be in a public-service business.
