Madras High Court is situated at the center of Chennai City in a spacious area. The court complex is constructed beautifully with traditional glamour. It was build near the seashore just adjacent to Chennai Port. Hence a beaming light house was built on top of the court hall dome. On world war II the German Navy captain Emdon fired a bomb which fell on the compound wall but did not blast.
