I have mixed feelings regarding this hospital. I went in at 11 PM for cramping at what turned out to be 14 weeks pregnant. I had never been to this hospital before as I am new to the area. We will touch on the pros first. The staff is great for the most part. Once I got into the back of the ER, the ER nurses and Dr. James were great. They were friendly, informative, and caring. The ultrasound tech, Priscilla, was the best. Most ultrasound techs won't even speak to you except to say they can't tell you anything and to ask the dr. Priscilla didn't state anything medical, but she also didn't feel impersonal. She told me she could see the baby, and what the heart rate measured at and let me see it wiggle around for a moment. Her demeanor was just great. The dr was kind when speaking to me, and answered my questions reassuringly. I didn't feel like he was rushing to get out of the room, and felt that he genuinely saw me as a person.

The cons: This hospital is dirty, as in veryyyy unsanitary. There were medical items, food crumbs, and blood drops on the floor of both the waiting room and ER room. In the ER waiting room, I even saw a roach. They came on the loud speaker to inform us there was a fire on the 5th floor, and no staff advised us as to whether we should evacuate or not. I waited for an hour to go back to the ER, and the total time I spent on this visit was 4 hours.

I will not be returning to the hospital just due to the sanitary conditions. I did take photos of the dirty conditions and the cockroach.
