PLEASE READ I would not recommend purchasing a grayhawk home. POOR QUALITY LACK OF INTEGRITY. Profanity used by employees on several occasions. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AT FINAL WALK THROUGH there were SO MANY OUTSTANDING PROBLEMS WITH OUR HOME. We were told if we didnt close we would be charged a fee for every day we were late on closing. A LIST of outstanding items that were to be fixed was written WE WERE PROMISED We were promised everything would be fixed if we closed. It hasnt been fixed in fact NO ONE CAN EVEN FIND THE LIST OR OUR ORIGINAL WLAK THROUGH LIST. The screws in both my front and garage doors are missing. We were told "home owners maintenance". Who puts a door handle on with no screws? Answer: Grayhawk! All of the tile in our home is crooked uneven grout lines. The contractors didnt use any spacers. I witnesses it and called to ask was told "it would turn out great". We were promised by one mamger that it would be fixed denied by another. EVERYONE WHO VISITS NOTICES MY BAD TILE JOB. In the laundry room we werr told "once you put your washer and dryer in here it will look right." Really? We had a hole in our carpet. The first time they "fixed" it. Carpet shavings owere put in it to cover it up. We complained.
The next time they fixed it they cut a sqaure and tried to glue it. Finally they came in a replaced that carpet BUT IT IS THE WRONG COLOR and there are areas with NO PADDING. They had to retile my backsplash because is was crooked (all the floor tile bath tile ALL MY TILE IS CROOKED UNEVEN NOTICABLE GROUT LINES) the backsplash was the only tile they would fix AND ITS STIL CROOKED. In the process they bent the leg on my stove. WILL NOT FIX IT. They say we cant prove who did it. On the home owners check list they said ALL houses are built with gutters. They came back and said only 2 stories homes got gutters. We bought a ranch style home. Needless to say I have to put up my own gutters. Water was leaking from overflow into my garage AND FLOODING they finally fixed it after many calls and emails that there was the leak in my garage. Same problem with front door it floods. in the entry outside but even thought they promosed gutters I habe to get my own because i did not buy a 2 story home. The paint is uneven througout my entire house. Some spots not ecen painted. They didnt fix everything we marked during our wlak through. Our kitchen Island is unlevel. It is just poor quality and lack on intergrity period! I plan to have ALL OF MY TILE REDONE MYSELF. They used outdated metal strips on the shower bench. Every time we sit down our legs are scratched. The grout is falling out from in the tile around my tub and shower! YES WE SEALED ALL TILE AND GRANITE! GROUT still crumbling. DO NOT BUY A GRAYHAWK HOME. The vent in my wash room NEVER WORKED. They would not fix it. MY DOORBELL NEVER WORKED. They called alexander electric to fixed then TRIED TO BILL US! I am sure some Grayhawk employee will respond to this post with a quick rebutle. THAT IS FINE BUT WE KNOW THE TRUTH. If we had purchased a $450,000 perhaps we wouldve received better service. FYI our home sold for 230,000 around that. My husband and I are taking it upon ourselves to begin to fix out home. FOR A NEW HOME THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I took the liberty of going and viewimg some competitors builds this past week. WAY BETTER QUAILTY. Dave Erickson promised to come and see what the problem was he never did. one manager promised they would fix the tile he said it was HORRIBLE AND HE WAS SORRY FOR THE POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP (he has since been fired) and the tile request denied. I know someone will respond to this. WHAT I SAY IS TRUE. That is why every night I pray for dave erickson and rose anne erickson that God will convict their hearts and they will start to do the right thing by their customers. BECAUSE ITS JUST NOT RIGHT. BECAUSE WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WRONG. ---- disappointed 1st time home buyer. If I had known then what I know now I would have definitely gone with another builder. Or just bought an older home.
