This is an HONEST review on CAE. I worked at CAE for a little less than a year, where I performed very well. My coworkers were impressed that I got the hang of things after only a few weeks of work. In my first 4 month at CAE, I received 2 certificates of excellence for performing exceptional work on 2 special projects. I was very eager to prove myself, but others saw it as a threat to their career. From the beginning you can feel the French/English vibe. Since I'm not French Quebecer, I felt the difference in treatment. You can be the best employee in the company, if you do not speak and act like a French-Canadian.. you will not last long there. That year, CAE had to change all the equipment in their production facility, they never explained to me what was coming next, they kept me in the dark, until one day one supervisor (not even my immediate supervisor) came up to me and said, '' there is no more work for you, this will be your last week''. After investing myself, and after sacrificing for this company, they decided to get rid of me because production was low. I remember leaving work on the Friday, feeling used and abused. After all the effort I had put in to prove myself for the past months.. it went all down the drain. I just couldn't believe that they are letting me go, with no valid reason. I tired to contact a couple of my superiors, they wouldn't even reply to my emails. Too bad the older guys there still have the old mentality that '' si t'es pas francophone, va chercher ailleurs'' Thank you CAE for the A+ treatment.
