We visited Cabana on a Monday night to celebrate a friend's birthday with family and friends. We were a group of 12+ with two separate tables beside each other. Views of the Toronto skyline was nice. For a "luxury" patio, there were no space heaters so we were quite uncomfortably cold most of the night.
I am giving this place 1 star because we had an overall TERRIBLE experience which left the birthday girl extremely upset at the end of the night.
The patio was barely 1/4 at capacity the whole night yet the service was very slow. We were constantly waiting a long time for everything we asked for. We noted there were plenty of staff just standing around and asked why our server couldn't get help. She was made aware of our dissatisfaction with service and explained that was just how they did things normally with one server per group. She became overly defensive and over explained everything she "did" for us. I can understand she may have been trying, but that does not change the fact we experienced poor service. We waited almost an hour for our bills and by that time, we finally asked for management. The "managers" on that night appeared clueless and literally just stared at us after we explained our negative experience. There was no acknowledgment or much of a response. They did not introduce themselves, appeared uninterested and unreceptive. The management team here lacks professionalism, customer service skills and clearly will not address any concerns. They were more interested in socializing with other staff members at the bar.
The whole experience put a damper on what was suppose to be a celebratory night.
