Cramp camping sites. The park is wonderful to explore from strolling along its long beaches, visiting the remnants of post WWII fortifications, and a variety of trails through sandy pines and marshes. HOWEVER the camp site for tents was disappointing. Each site is very close together, with parking limited to one car per site. There is overflow parking 1/2 mile away. The close proximity of the camp sites (within 15 feet of each other) greatly diminishes the tranquil experience of true camping. The support facilities, such as a camp store and showers are very good. Come here for the day but don't come here for camping.
