I have had a mixed experience with this pub/ restaurant but overall I would recommend it. Once we waited 40 minutes for someone to take our order so we just left and they weren't very apologetic. But on the other side I had a Christmas meal here that was lovely, the staff were attentive and the cosy setting was just right. The food is pretty good although the drinks on offer could do with some re-vamping - a few nicer beers for example. If you are in the area - perhaps a student with parents visiting - then this is a good easy option - just book ahead.
