I can only speak for the new office in Charleston ...

I can only speak for the new office in Charleston SC. They have property in the area that is amazing and we were really excited to speak to them. They were friendly and even their basic packages were nicely upgraded. We were told to look on their website for possible plans or to bring our own. All the plans had prices to build on their website. I knew what the property cost because I saw their listing on the website, that is the listing that drew is to them initially. This is where it starts to go bad, we sat down and they started with "what is your budget"? I hate telling someone what I can afford up front. I reluctantly gave them our budget and we started working on a plan we liked. We got done and they said we could sign a contract or wait, I told them I couldn't sign anything until a price was worked up. A few days later we got a price, just a price, I asked why it cost what it did and where the numbers came from and their response was "we don't do that". I asked if the discount was there and if they subtracted for things we didn't want and what upgrades I asked for added what amount. Of course "they already took into account all that" and if I wanted they would give me the prices now. I said it didn't matter because all they have to do is make the numbers match their final number. The biggest problem I had was the price was magically the absolute top of my budget and of course some of the design upgrades we mentioned couldn't be added until we signed a contract and they would cost more. I told them forget it I wasn't interested anymore. They asked why and I said "transparency". I can't buy something so expensive on blind faith
