This review is based on a recent service related visit to Nycewheels concerning my E-twow electric scooter.

My scooter was turning off on its own without my consent or permission.
I could ride for a mile, it would shut down, I would turn it on and it would go for another long distance before repeating the process.

After a few phone calls to Nycewheels and speaking with two different employees, I was told that it wouldn't be a difficult fix and may take an hour and that I could even wait while it was being repaired. Figures of $50 and $120 were given as possible charges.

I dropped my scooter off on a Tuesday when they opened at 11a.
I was told that the service tech would be late but that he would give me an estimate before any work was done.
I called at 4p to check on my scooter and was told it hadn't been looked at yet. I knew I made the right decision not to wait there for it to be repaired. Just before 6p, I was called and told that my scooter was fixed and what the final charge would be.
When I was told how long it took to repair, I said, "What?"
I was told it only took 10 minutes.
When I was told how much it cost, I responded by asking him to repeat that. It sounded like English but I wasn't sure.
He said, "$13."

They took 1/6 of an hour to repair and charged 1/6 of an hour rate. That made too much sense. There was no gouging or pillaging. I was almost disappointed that I wouldn't have the chance to complain and argue.
Just kidding.

An honest business in NYC, who knew. Finding a reputable repair location is as rare as spotting a unicorn that speaks French and defecates fluffy white marshmallows.

I was prepared to give an underwhelming review because of the wait and the expected high cost but now I have no choice but to give 7 stars and my heartfelt appreciation.

Thank you
