My boyfriend and I drove all the way to MetLife for a football game. We were very dissapointed with the whole experience.
- parking is confusing. You pretty much drive around the outside lot for 30 minutes before you find the spot to go to and you end up paying $40 USD and it is still a 30 minutes walk from the stadium.
- if you re late, getting into the building could be a nightmare filled with long lines and waits.
- once you re in it s hard to figure out where you should go to best get to your seats. Either way your now on a long slow line up stairs or a long slow line up an escalator. Cramped, stinky and hard to get up.
- once you get up into the stadium, you now have a mission, how to get to your seats. We went up a hundred different staircases only to find out we couldn t get to our section because it was blocked off between sections on that floor from private entry areas. So we were told go down the 50 stairs and go up another level to get there. Did that again and were told we were in the wrong spot again. This happened a few times and took us 45 minutes to get to our seats from stairs and no navigation help.
- expensive. We were boiling in the heat and forced to buy $5 USD water or buy a meal (10 USD) and get a value $2 USD water (half the size of the 5)
- you are in an open stadium. If it s supposed to be 25+ that day, don t go. You will be burnt and sweating the whole time - not enjoyable
- when you are Canadian going to the game, please know IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR PASSPORT THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU ALCOHOL. That s right. My boyfriend and I had our health card, drivers license, credit card, but none of it was accepted even after speaking to a supervisor. They say they can t know if it s fake since they have never seen one before. This is ridiculous since I m NEVER bringing my passport to a sporting event.
Terrible experience, terrible game (the jets sucked) and overall I won t go back.
