My family (two adults, two kids (6 & 4)) love this place. It is has both an outdoor and indoor museum and we enjoy them both. This summer we purchased an annual pass which makes it so much nicer - we can explore a little bit with each visit. This is some of what we have enjoyed (in no particular order):

- the Treetop Outpost - a three story outpost allowing you to view the area from the tops of the trees. my favorite part of this though is the 'basement' - not really a basement, but there is a level that goes down. And, all around the outpost are things to do - musical instruments, building, tents...

- The 1859 helium balloon - soar 3000 feet in the air above the park in the helium balloon. My son asked what happens if the balloon breaks free of it's tether. While it is very unlikely to happen, if it does the pilot has a way to fly the balloon - basically he can land it and said we may land in the next state :) (Note: this is an extra cost)

- Building and flying paper airplanes inside (we haven't done too much inside yet - saving that for the winter at this point)

- 1836 Prairie Town - this living museum is great where refrigerators and light bulbs do not exist!

- I have much more exploring to do and have done more listed here, but so far, it is all just so fun - I am going back sometime without the kids but with my camera - there are many many photo shots just longing for me to capture them!
