We just returned from 48 hours at Fossil Rim and I couldn't recommend it more! It is an amazing little getaway for family and friends. I took my 4-year-old son and 10-year-old nephew and the boys loved it. It is a magical place for kids - it is everything we anticipated and more! Nature in all of its magnificence, the most incredible Texas scenery, cozy accommodations (the foothill cabins are darling), and an experience you won't forget. We stayed overnight in the cabins by the watering hole and woke up to beautiful deer, antelope, blackbuck, and more grazing nearby. After a homemade breakfast, we set off on a three hour guided morning Safari on back roads through the park that we didn't get to see the day before on the scenic drive we'd already enjoyed. We saw wildebeest, got to touch the velvet antlers of the Fallow Deer, feed the lovable Emu, get up close to a White Rhino and its baby, learn about the Cheetah conservation, and course plenty of giraffe love. We can't wait to go back!
