As with any gym, there is good and bad. There are several coaches that are great. They are interested in the kids. The safety is great, you don't have to worry about a safe environment for your kids. For kids that are talented and are into gymnastics or cheer it is a good gym. However, the communication stinks. The only time the phone is answered is from 4- 8 and then not much. The one person that works the front desk is so busy, it's difficult for that person to do all the tasks and therefore answering the phone is last on the agenda. This means that in order to get the information you need, you have to go inside and actually wait to speak to someone. Hello...get another person to help up front!!! If you have a technical question, it's difficult to get someone to answer that question. The coaches are always busy and the person working the front desk always has to call you back with an answer...which would be okay except they never call you back. So you have to keep going in and asking questions. If your kid isn't a shining star, then don't expect for them to get much attention from the coaches. They only care about really advancing and helping the stars. Not so much the average kid. If your kid takes recreational gymnastics, then don't expect to get much out of the classes unless your kid is really talented or unless you fork over the money to enroll them in multiple classes or pay for private lessons. The recreational coaches change frequently which means there is little consistency when learning basic skills. One coach may take the time to teach each skill correctly and make sure the kid has that skill before moving to the next skill. However another coach may just tell the kid to do a skill, not correct their errors and leave them to get it on their own. Which means if your kid stays in the sport, then you have to spend a whole season with a good coach correcting errors or paying for private lessons to correct bad habits. Maybe all gyms are this way, but it's a shame because most kids aren't shining stars and all can take away a great deal of confidence, strength and flexibility with good gymnastics training.
