I attended a support group in this space. It took on a whole new meaning. If you thought that the Garden was for tourist think again, locals are granted free admission, with proof of residency. Spring is coming and I'd imagine this understated experience will only get better this coming spirng. The park is vastly populated by California natives and transplants from around the globe. A treat if you fancy mindfulness. With so much to take in, the Botanical gardens is worth exploring multiple times.
