We started beginner lessons when my boys turned 3, thinking we'd just do a few months with the goal of survival. Now 2 years later, we've never quit because my kids love it. I have twins who learn and swim very differently, yet Coach Daun is wonderful with both. One in particular had a really rough start and cried (ok, screamed at the top of his lungs) the entire time because he didn't want to follow directions. Coach Daun was so patient with him, was firm and consistent when needed yet extremely kind, and quickly got him over the hump. Now I can't get him to leave the pool after lessons because he loves swimming so much, and he's begging to be on the swim team some day. The coaches at Excel are highly skilled, adaptable, patient, and great with young children. I give Excel my highest recommendation!
