I loved this park!! It's lovely! There are open fields, huge, beautiful Southern trees, a stage for live music, a trail filled with walkers/runners/bikers and a playground for kids. There are even ponds with ducks and other birds and it's just lovely. Plenty of shade. My family and I walked around for a few hours. Then we visited Loyola University campus because it's right next to the park and caught the Uptown Streetcar which runs right next to the park also. It was a really great day. And Audubon Park is completely free. I highly recommend it!
