Well, better late than never! I attended night school for two years at CCAD between 1970-1975, not sure exactly which years. I took basic 2-D Design, Theory, and Figure Drawing.I remember feeling mostly terror my first day upon seeing the fabulous student art everywhere. How could I ever meet these standards? What happened is that my wonderful first teacher, Mr. Bill Van der Veld, taught all of us how to be artists. He was so patient, knowledgeable, yet exacting and demanding. At the end of the class, my collage was chosen to hang on the wall in the hall: the same wall I looked at when I first came. I had done it!!! Throughout the years, the techniques I learned at CCAD have guided me. I've been a printmaker, and am now a jewelry designer. Just last week I was designing a necklace, using principles I'd been taught decades ago at CCAD. Their art courses were the best I've ever had. Sometimes the instructors are more like drill sergeants than professors: that's a good thing.Obviously I strongly recommend CCAD for art study.
I strongly recommend this school for any art student: you will learn much!
