Very bad experience and The worst staff i have ever seen in a hotel.i do not recommend to stay in this hotel plus if there is a rate below 1 i would give it.
We called to book a room and as usual no one is answering, after check in in the hotel at 3am in the morning PIA ROHDE was very rude like we were coming to a police station not a hotel, asking for informations in a cold and sharp manner not even a welcome back to the hotel as we are a frequent guests and a member, plus the rate we were given by the central reservation was not the same as the rate she gave us, and as any normal person we asked about why everytime there is an extra charge different than what we were given by the central resevation, her answer was that the procedure says that for any Mariott hotel all over the world you have to pay 4aed extra for the unicef donation, of course we dont mind donating but since when you take people's money without letting them know for what they are paying , this is stealing i guess. After she finished the reservation procedure like a robot, she said that the security will escort us like we were going to jell not a room.
After sleeping for 4 hours exactly ,at 9am an unexpected fire alarm went throught twice for 15min and we thought that we have to evacuate as soon as possible because we were not informed by PIA that they will be testing the fire alarms in the morning as she was so focused in given her negative attitude instead of being professional and welcoming her guests as it should be in a 5stars hotel or even a 1 star because its a business i guess at the end.
After complaining about interupting our sleep and rest because of the fire alarm that we were not informed about, the Manager ALEXANDER ZHAUNERKA said that it was planned and there is a small paper on top of the reception hotel that i should read to know that there will be a fire alarm and there is nothing he can do about it, how we are suppose to know all these things if we are not informed by the staff, and how people who doesnt speak english or doesnt know how to read will understand if they are counting on this small paper on top of the desk to inform them about what is planned and what is not.
Before even i left he started talking about the issue to his other collegue SOFIA that she was laughing about what happened. I was a joke for them i guess.
To be honnest im so disappointed in this hotel, the location and the rooms are nice but the rude and unprofessional and carleess staff in the reception are ruining everything and made my stay very uncomfortable .
Very poor management and the staff should be replaced by professional and caring staff .
Better to go to the nexts hotel, they all have same facilities as STregis same beache same pool and even better food and restaurants and most important better and professional staff that will make your stay more comfortable.
