The staff here are great, the waitress we had was very good. Drinks stayed full, she was polite and didn't rush us.
The food was just alright, brisket had no bark, was under seasoned and didn't have much if any smoke taste. No visible smoke ring. I know the smoke ring means little, but normally its at least visible.
The ribs were over cooked and falling apart, charred on the top, sauced on the top but NO rub or sauce on the underside (pic attached of rib underside). They came as a full slab, the crust on the top was so hard and the meat so over cooked that they just fell apart when cutting. They tasted okay, the BBQ sauce they have is great. As is the variety of the sauces they have. 4-5 different typed to choose from. The Carolina sauce is awesome.
The sides were all lacking. We had the garlic mash, mac and cheese and the baked beans. The baked beans were the best of all three. Mash and mac and cheese were all very bland. The gravy helped the mash but it did taste like pre-made gravy. Mac and cheese tasted like nothing. Everything missing salt.
They did seem to have a lot of staff, and they just gathered by the bathroom it seemed. Kind of made it awkward to go to the bathroom.
All and all id skip this, you can make better ribs in your oven and make a chuck roast that tastes better than the brisket. After paying $55+ for two people we should have went to dinosaur.
