I wish I could rate this hotel 0/5 stars. I used booking.com which had some pretty decent pictures of the property and some pretty great reviews. Well at the time $200 a night to stay in a room with an ocean view didn't seem to bad seeing as it could have been more. I traveled from Fredericksburg to VA Beach for a business deal with school. Upon arriving to the hotel it looked extremely run down but I figured I would give them a shot because why not. Boy was I wrong!!! I entered into the lobby and stood in the line to check in and I overheard some military personnel talking about how they found black mold in their rooms and blood stains on the walls and carpets. I checked in and asked to see my room before bringing my luggage in. The first room (3rd floor, room 314) they gave me was clean until I checked the bed and there were huge bed bugs crawling around on the mattress! I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. As I waited for another room I overheard the military personnel again and they were checking out and only getting a 20% off refund because of the inconvenience. I then went and checked the second room (2nd floor, room 214) again looking for bed bugs and instead I found a huge blood stain on the mattress!!! I immediately went back to the front counter and demanded a NEW room! I told them if I had any issues with the next room I was leaving with a FULL refund despite the policy! I then got another room (1st floor, room 123) I walked in and searched the room and nothing seemed as a concern so I had my fiance check, apparently I shook the bed bugs to the surface and he found them, then in the bathroom on the ceiling there was black mold painted over, the other bed had hair all in the sheets, and to top it off there was a COCKROACH CARCASS by the door!

I went back to the front counter and demanded my money back and informed them I would be contacting the health department as that is highly unsanitary. They did not seem to care so I made it known to the lobby about the issues I had encountered and I left. I have never been so disgusted in my life, I walked into a disaster. Now I HAVE to wait 3-5 days for a refund, to which I don t know if it will be a full or partial. Terrible customer service and the employees were no where near understanding. Take your business elsewhere
DO NOT STAY HERE FOR YOUR SAFETY AND YOUR FAMILIES. GO ELSEWHERE!!!
