I've been bringing my vehicle here for service since I purchased it last May. Up until today, the service has been excellent. However, that all changed this morning. I always use the online scheduling tool and last week, like every other time, I made a reservation for a maintenance appointment. In my appointment details I specified that I wanted a call back and a loaner vehicle so I wouldn't have to spend a Saturday waiting at the service center. I never received a call back but did receive a confirmation email with my advisor's name and a confirmation of my appointment time. Important side note, this is the EXACT same way I scheduled my previous two appointments with the EXACT same request.
When I arrived on Saturday, not only was the service advisor not available but my request for a loaner vehicle had been completely dismissed. Another important side note - I am not upset that they didn't have a loaner, inventory is limited and I understand that. However, if a customer uses the prescribed system to enter a request, the onus is on the business to respond to that request in a timely manner so the right expectations are set with the customer. So, instead of tending to my business on a Saturday morning, I'm sitting captive in a showroom because I live 25 miles away and have no ride available.
To add insult to injury, the replacement for my scheduled advisor gave me a time estimate of "thirty minutes to two hours-ish". "Ish?" Aren't they supposed to be professionals? The service request was a simple oil change, not major mechanical maintenance or even diagnosis. Why is the time estimate so ambiguous on a simple service issue? Grease Monkey can give me an estimate, why can't a service professional at a luxury auto dealership manage the same task?
The worst part is that the service advisor remained smug, unhelpful and unwilling to offer any alternative (how about a simple shuttle ride?).
Stay away from Schomp if you're looking for true professionals.
Update - I did receive a call from their service department to ask me about the experience. After sharing my experience the service rep said she would have the manager contact me. Unfortunately, I never received a follow up and my original disappointment stands. Not recommended.
I did increase the raring by a star because I feel the tech did his job.
