If I could give them negative stars I would. From start to finish, working with Indus Travels was and has been a nightmare. Joe the gentleman I worked with had terrible customer service and terrible timing in responding to my calls and emails. It took him 3 months to finally give me an answer to my question. I would call and email and if he did answer he would completely forget we discussed this and he would be getting me an answer. we would have the conversation over again and when I would follow up again he would just say oh yeah we are still working on it. Terrible service!!!! Secondly I had a terrible experience with one of their partners in Peru - Viajes Pacifico that charted my Rainbow mountain tour. It was beyond a night mare - 1. Itinerary does not state to wear snow gear and tour guides on day one and day before the excursion all said to wear a light jacket. No one mentioned the mountain would be covered in ice and snow. I did not appreciate this lack of information

2. We were to depart at 3am but tour guide shows up at 3:15-3:20 - this was an inconvenience as we were told to be ready at 3am.

3. My biggest concern is that after a 3 hour drive we get to the mountain and attempt to get up the mountain. The roads were covered in Ice causing us to slip and slide on the road on 3 separate occasions. This was absolutely unacceptable as it put all our lives in danger. My sister and I both requested to the tour Guide and driver that since the roads are covered in ice we do not feel comfortable continuing to attempt to get up the road. We were told it s fine we can make it up no worries. The tour guide kept getting out of the car to go push it up the mountain.

4. Continuing up the mountain we slipped again and this time slipped into a ditch. A local found us and called for help and that is when they came down to help push the car out of the ditch and up the mountain. The roads were so icy even the locals were slipping and I have this captured in one of the photos attached. We were so scared and extremely uncomfortable we jumped out of the car as they attempted to get it out of the ditch.

5. It took us a total of 5 hours to make it to the top of the mountain. Once we got there it was snowing and raining and the tour guide said it s impossible for us to see the rainbow mountain. We waited in the car for about 45 more minutes waiting for the sun to come out. After waiting we got out and walked about 30 minutes before turning back and heading to the car. The mountain was covered in ice and it was impossible to hike especially without the proper shoes. The tour guide said to us did my company not call you and tell you to wear snow gear? I told him know no one told us conditons will be like this. All we were told was to bring a light jacket and sunscreen and to wear a one or two layers since it will get hot later in the tour. I asked two tour guides in advance and both said the exact same thing and one actually told me the weather is just like at Machu Picchu.

6. We left and headed back to Cusco. Our tour guide had an errand to run so he left us with the driver to take us to our hotel. The driver did not take us to our hotel, he dropped us off somewhere about 6 blocks from where our actual hotel was. Said he couldn t get around the traffic and it was best for us to walk. This is absolutely unacceptable. It took my sister and I another hour to walk back to our hotel.

After that incident I reached out to Indus to discuss and ask for a refund. I have been working with Tordes at Indus travels since June regarding this matter and conclusion both parties do not see they need to offer me a refund for my troubles and the endangerment of my life that day. We have gone back and forth so many times, and no refund. Worst two companies to do business with, worst customer service and overall they are a joke. Please if you value your life and your hard earned money, do not work with these two for your next trip.
