Crossing the moors you arrive at this centuries old coaching inn at the point where two rivers meet - crossed by two ancient bridges. You can have a lovely cream tea by the fireside and then take a gentle walk down to Wistman's Wood - with it's twisted landscape of rocks, lichens and stunted oaks. The hotel keeps a family of ducks which delight children.
