A fantastic ART library! I use it fairly regularly and the clerks are super helpful and friendly always ready to help!
It is extremely understandable not to allow the entrance of those who do not study arts, this is NOT a study room, it is a library for those who intend to use the books that are in the Gulbenkian's possession. The library itself is not very large ending on certain days by getting quite crowded. If they allowed anyone, who has no interest in the books in their collection, then there would be no space, at all, for the students who in fact need the books in the collection.
Some people think they have a right to everything. If you need both a place to study so go to your college library or the cafe on the corner.
