Spent 7 days at Ocean Maya Royale at the back end ...

Spent 7 days at Ocean Maya Royale at the back end of October. Obviously this is the rainy season for Mexico and has a big effect on the enjoyment of the holiday. Despite a couple of days of poor weather we still had a brilliant time. This was in main down to the sports and entertainment team who go out of their way to keep you smiling. In particular Rodrigo and Arturo who were incredibly welcoming, funny and easy to get along with. There was often games, pool entertainment as well as sports to keep you occupied. This was one of the key benefits of the hotel and made it easier to make friends with others staying from across the world. That being said there was a quieter pool if you just wanted to relax as well as beach space. Some of the beach had been hit hard by a storm and wasn't as picturesque when we first arrived but this is solely down to the weather and got a lot nice later in the stay. The food was very good in almost all restaurants with lots of choice and wild animals such as Coatis added to the experience.
Would happily go back. The focus was on fun loving people and this hotel may not be for everyone but my girlfriend and I had a brilliant 7 days.
