I had a phenomenal time at this hotel. I checked in around 6pm. The bellman greeted me and got me a bell cart for my belongings. He was very kind. The front desk agents I spoke with were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I visited their Hard Rock store and purchased a nice tank top there. The sales associate showed me all the rock memorabilia they had in the hotel in a little portfolio they had. My room was gorgeous too. It had a nice pool view. The room was spacious and very clean. The closet had an ironing board an iron and a safe. The bathroom was nice as well. A sink in the actual bathroom and another right outside it. Lighting was soft and not too harsh on the eyes. The room came with a Keurig. I didn't get to use it, but it was a nice touch. The fridge actually tricked me. The way the cabinet was, I thought the fridge would be that height too, but it was significantly smaller. The beds and pillows were extremely comfy. I liked the black out curtains and the cordless phone. The remote was wrapped in plastic which was a nice safety touch. I didn't get to visit the pool since I had just got a new tattoo on my leg, but from my room, it looked really nice. Each day when I went to the park, I took a water taxi. Before you go outside, they temp check you, and give you a colored wristband. I thought that was a nice touch. You go through a metal detector before boarding as well. The captains were all very nice on each water taxi I was on. I ate on site at The Kitchen Saturday evening. I had the Crispy Calimari and a shot of Goldschlager. My server was very nice. My birthday dessert was a brownie Sunday, which was also really yummy. Check out Sunday was a breeze, I actually text them from inside Universal for check out. I was able to leave my car in the parking lot too. I had to take the shuttle bus back at the end of my day since I had purchased an item that was deemed a "weapon" by Universal. It was a nice trip and social distancing was in full effect. I was the last drop off. I got my belongings from the luggage area and they were able to wait outside with my belongings while I went and got my car. I tipped the bellman I saw Friday five dollars because he was so nice. I highly recommend this resort because it's beautiful and the staff are super friendly and the food is very good.
