Had a verbal agreement in place on the purchase of a house (Midwest realtor pushed for this to happen) We struck an agreement later that night. Found out the next day the Midwest realtor kept taking calls for the showing of the house and set up more showings as we were finalizing paperwork to send over. Once we found out what happened, the realtor blamed the seller for backing out. If you push for a verbal agreement, you need to keep your word. Your word is all you have in the realty business.
