I've been to The Stone Pony several times but I only go there if a band I really want to see isn't playing anywhere else close to me. Parking is a nightmare if the weather is nice. I drove around for 30 minutes looking for a spot before I gave up and paid $25 for a parking lot around the corner. If the show is inside, it gets so packed with people that you can barely move your arms. People are constantly bumping into you trying to pass through the crowd to get drinks or go to the bathroom. My shoes were soaked with spilled beer after the last show I attended there. The outside shows on the summer stage have a bit more breathing room but it's pretty much the same. After the show I was stuck in the parking lot for over 40 minutes on a line of cars that couldn't exit the lot because of traffic. The sound quality is good and if the show is outside you can smoke.
