I recently bought a new company through Company Partners and after waiting a bit longer than they originally promised, I found out that they did not issue the first share certificate. They sell this as an additional service for another R390. I spoke to their consultant who did not have an understanding of the difference between authorised and issued share capital and could not tell me to whom the shares were issued, if any.
