We have used Carmel's service for decades, both on all of our trips to the airport and when recommending their service to visiting family and guests. I would never take a chance on finding a taxi or limo at the last minute and have always been more than satisfied by their service.
Although I was offered a $10.00 discount on a future trip, I had already posted my comments on Carmel's site about a recent trip. I am happy to report my great experience.
A relatively new service, to pre-arrange a pickup at the airport, worked beautifully. Our flight, which was already due to arrive at JFK rather late was delayed by 5 hours! While the line for taxis after midnight wasn't too long, I followed the instructions to call the Carmel office after I had retrieved luggage, and was promised that a driver would be at passenger pick-up in 5 to 7 minutes. A very friendly and capable driver arrived as promised; the cost was reasonable; and I will definitely use this feature in the future. Anyone who has experienced the long taxi lines in bad weather or at peak hours will appreciate this convenience; I'm glad I decided to try this service.
The discount coupons automatically sent to passengers who give an email address are also a welcome advantage.
