The hotel is overall nice; well-appointed rooms, admittedly cute courtyard, and good breakfast as well. The reason for not four or even five stars however are through a few faults that I have not experienced at other similarly priced hotels.

1: "Eco friendliness." The room does not have a fully functioning heating system. From what we could garner during our stay there is a two-way system where everyone either has access to just heating or cooling at the same time, not both. So we were not able to use the 'heat' during our stay and had to have a separate space heater.

2: The insulation/paper thin walls. During the second night of our stay some adorable quartet of girls* decided it would be a great idea to stand screaming just out our window... and then go to their room which was unfortunately the room above our own and continue screaming. The insulation in my dorm room from back in college was even better than what they have here. Apparently insulation (that in addition to keeping in heat does a good job at blocking sounds) is not appealing for this site. Also it seems that Emily has a friend that sat down in poison oak, fascinating what you can learn at 1 A.M. in the morning.

The site will provide you with your own space heater should you need it, and normally I don't think the excessively loud girls will be a problem. Were it not for those issues I would give this place a 4/5, but still I think expecting a working thermostat is a simple expectation for any hotel in this day and age. There is free alcohol mid afternoon; the scenery is rather nice, free parking, etc. They do charge for wifi, so just bring a hotspot really. I just wish I could have enjoyed my stay more.

*White girl drunk ... ladies of the night lets say.
