Very rude & defensive staff handling the switchboard, on multiple occasions I've called in. I had made no mistake, nor silly inquiry, nor given any attitude to justify a harsh reception. Since this is the main point of contact for our city's hospital, (684-6000), they should be mindful of how they can impact its integrity as an institution & thus be monitored to a degree or at least intermittently -in how they conduct themselves & if not in a polite, patient, effective & professional manner, be spoken to about it so as not to repeat the pattern.

Regardless of how busy they are or if they dislike their job, they should possess the social skills & appropriately helpful information to handle their role & provide anyone calling in, with basic respect. Thank you.
